Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.


While the girls were out hunting eggs, Mary Clare hung out with cousin Katie.

Georgia and Kate try to beat the rain and hunt for eggs, while Granda and Sarah Jane check out the festivities from the playroom window.



























Kate makes a mad dash in her Little Einstein PJs to go look for eggs the Easter Bunny left before church. She wished out loud for a rocket to go faster.


Always smiling Mary Clare is happy at what the Easter Bunny brought her for her first Easter!











Kate was ecstatic that the Easter Bunny came. Not only does she look like her mama - she also has her mama's crazy morning hair.

Thank you Easter Bunny! Most importantly, Thank you Jesus, for dying for our sins. Through Your death, burial and resurrection, You paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all who believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus. May God grant me the wisdom and grace every day to live my life more Christ like.

The weekend before Easter, Daddy decided that him and his buddies were going to cut down the big tree by our drive way that was taken over by mistletoe. Kate's friend Kateri was spending the afternoon with us, so we decided to have a picnic on the front yard to watch daddy and his friends. And - if you can't tell - Kate is really into headbands right now. I'll fix her hair, and she adds a headband. That is why she doesn't like "two ponytails" (pigtails) because te headband won't fit.

Big Sister Kate & Mary Clare's #1 Fan Kateri taste Mary Clare's cake along with her to make sure it tasted ok!

Evie Berend (in red) from Fort Worth came up with her brother Luke and daddy Chuck, while cousin Anna (blue & pink) and her brother Chuckie across from her drove up from Keller that afternoon. Cousin Caroline (in pink) and her sister Mary Elizabeth drove up from Austin. We are so blessed to have such amazing family and friends who travel to be with us on such special days. You are the best!!!

Cousin Georgia ate the ladybug on her cupcake whole. We are so glad that she and Uncle Coach came up for the party, but we missed Aunt Carlye and Cousin Sarah Jane!

I think it is a given. She likes cake, but she loves the icing more!

A little R&R for mommy...play time for MC

A few weeks ago, Tim and Kate went out of town. Mary Clare and I stayed and cleaned the house top to bottom. After an exhausting day, Mary Clare and I went over the the Pitts' house for some playtime and relaxation. This was before Mary Clare pulled the chair down on top of her!!!! :)

There is a new Bindel coming to town

Kate and Mary Clare have a new cousin. Uncle Coach and Aunt Carlye welcomed their new precious gift from God Sarah Jane Bindel on March 3,2009. The girls and I took Granda down to Grand Prairie last Saturday to visit. WE can't wait for the Bindel's to move here this summer!

Granda has six granddaughters under the age of 3. Here she is with four of them - Georgia, Mary Clare, Kate, and Sarah Jane. Hopefull we'll get a pic of all six soon!

Lemony Lunch

A couple of weeks ago we went to lunch at Parkway. Mary Clare had never had a lemon, so I let her try it. Kate LOVED lemons and even after all of her face twisting, Mary Clare does too! Kate wanted to have more lemons so she could see her face "wrinkle up".

School for Little People Mothers Night

I can't believe Mothers Night was two weeks ago! Here are pictures of Kate and some of her friends at school. We had a great time! We made necklaces, pictures, went to music class where they sang us a song, and had story time! We love SLP!

Here is Mrs. Connel with Kate, Marisa, and Presley. Mrs. Connel has been teaching at SLP for over 13 years and we are so blessed to have her as Kate's Pre-K teacher! She does an amazing job with all the children. Kate came home the other day teaching me colors in Spanish. I hope Mary Clare has her as well.

Christopher, Parker, John and Kate are holding flowers that they are about to give to the moms. Mrs. Connel bought white carnations and asked the children to pick which color they wanted the flower for their mother to be. They then did a mini-science project where they put dye in the cup of water for each individual flower. We had a lot of blue carnations!
