Neighborhood picnic

Our neighborhood association held a spring picnic on our lot a couple of weeks. It was a good turnout, and it was also nice to be able to sit down with neighbors that we don't get to see much because we are so busy. The picture above is Mary Clare enjoying the festivities.

Kate loved those horses! She wouldn't get of of it. She just kept racing and racing. She wasn't even scared to race the older junior high kids!

She's controlling that wild horse with one hand. What a little buckaroo..

Mary Clare REALLY enjoyed the picnic after the ladies in the neighborhood kept feeding her chocolate chip cookies!!

SSB Dance Center Recital

Here are pictures from Kate's recital the first weekend in May. I hope to be caught up with May's pictures before June! Wish me luck!

Kate and Kateri before going downstairs for the first performance. Kateri is our next door neighbor, and we really lucked out because we couldn't ask for a better family to live next to NOR a better friend for Kate. Kateri is the sweetest! AS you can tel, they really like each other!

Sarah, Kate and Kateri

Presley didn't want to be in that particular picture with the girls, but she did get in plenty of others!

The girls getting ready to go downstairs for their debut. WE were at the Memorial Auditorium, and they had the 3-5 year old girls on the 2nd floor dressing rooms. we were running up and down those flights of stairs all night! Oh well, at least I got a work out!

First performance - Tap - Kate is fourth from the left.

Waiting in the hallway for the ballet performance - Ballerina Girl
The BEAUTIFUL girls are Kate, Kateri, Sarah, & Presley

That's my ballerine girl - 4th from the left

What's cool about this is that every student at SSB comes out on stage in the matching t-shirts and black shorts for the grand finale. The song was "Boot Scootin' Boogie", and even though they went over the dance moves a couple of times, the girls still didn't know it. The majority of the girls who didn't know the dance followed Mrs. Shari and her assistants on the front row. However - do you see that little girl in the middle of the picture with her back to the audience? That happened to be my little girl, and instead of following what Mrs. Shari was doing like everyone else, she decided that she would turn around and shake her hiney to the crowd for the entire song since she did not know the dance. I seriously don't know where she gets it from.

Presley and Kate celebrating after a long, but fantastic night. Good job girls!

Bindel Family at Mary Elizabeth's Baptism

Here is a pic of my siblings and their spouses and children. Me, brother Marc (holding Sarah Jane), Kate squirming on my brother John's lap, the priest holding Mary Elizabeth, Caroline posing beautifully on Amanda's lap, Carlye and a very upset Georgia. Unfortunately, my mom, Tim and Mary Clare did not make this picture even though they were at the service. I don't know where they disappeared off to during this pic!

Marc holding Sarah Jane while Carlye is taking pictures of a very unhappy Georgia having a meltdown by the altar.

I felt ok posting this picture because 1. It's my neice, and 2. Her mom Carlye is standing over her taking pictures as well. God was probably laughing with us while Georgia was amusing us....... I will say that has to be the Berre side coming out of her at this moment because the Bindel's never acted like that growing up. Ever. :) I tell Tim all the time that our girls are definitely Foleys when they have their meltdowns! :) I just hope the meltdowns ease up some as they get older, although I have heard that they get worse!!

Check out those chompers!

Mary Clare is just 4 days away from 13 months in these pictures, and her molars are coming in. You wouldn't know it thought because this precious angel is smiling like this all the time--except when she is hungry. OR when she is scaring the day lights out of mommy by choking on a torn piece of a ketchup package at the Junior League office on Wednesday. I think my heart rate finally went back to a normal rate yesterday. I thank God for my precious pretties. I can't believe that HE has blessed us with two of His children. What beautiful gifts He has given Tim & I!

SLP Annual Fundraiser Dinner

Here is a picture of Kate with her 3 year old class at School For Little People's Annual Fundraiser Dinner Night. Kate pretty much stood like this the entire 5 minutes on the stage which was so funny because she knew the entire skit by heart. Notice Kater's height. She is the youngest (by almost 2 months) and the tallest of the class!!!!

She did take her finger out of her mouth to say her name on the microphone.

And to pose with her buddy Presley after the show. Each class paints four clay pots (with the help of the teacher) and the parents then bid on them before the skits begin. This year the pots brought in over $4,000 for SLP!!

Giving the flowers "love pats" so they will grow pretty...............

Easter Pics posted a month later!!!!!

1 Peter 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

While the girls were out hunting eggs, Mary Clare hung out with cousin Katie.

Georgia and Kate try to beat the rain and hunt for eggs, while Granda and Sarah Jane check out the festivities from the playroom window.

Kate makes a mad dash in her Little Einstein PJs to go look for eggs the Easter Bunny left before church. She wished out loud for a rocket to go faster.

Always smiling Mary Clare is happy at what the Easter Bunny brought her for her first Easter!

Kate was ecstatic that the Easter Bunny came. Not only does she look like her mama - she also has her mama's crazy morning hair.

Thank you Easter Bunny! Most importantly, Thank you Jesus, for dying for our sins. Through Your death, burial and resurrection, You paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all who believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus. May God grant me the wisdom and grace every day to live my life more Christ like.

Romans 6:8-11
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
