Good Morning Dinosaur

Kate woke up yesterday morning and decided that she wanted to be a dinosaur that day. She is a very serious dinosaur. I was thinking I could call her "Cera" like the little triceratops on The Land Before Time, but there isn't a third horn on her mask.

Happy (Belated) Memorial Day!

Her first picture smiling! I actually squealed with delight when I saw this!

Happy Belated Memorial Day! We spent the day doing stuff around the house, going to Home Depot, and having my mom and the Pitts family over for burgers. It was a nice day.

South (& north) bound 35

WE had so much fun with the Bindel's in Austin this past weekend. It was a quick trip, but never the less it was a grand time. Amanda took me to my new favorite shopping center - The Round Rock Outlet Mall. LOVE IT. I could have done more damage to my wallet if it wasn't for Amanda being my "Husband" and telling me it's time to go. Thanks Amanda & John for a lovely weekend! I can't wait to go back to Austin again! Kate and Mary Clare did exceptionally well on the way down there and back. Mary Clare didn't like sleeping in the hotel room Saturday night because she kept waking up all night long. I didn't have my camera with me so I "borrowed" some pictures from Caroline's blog. Hopefully we'll be able to get some pictures from Lilly Boatner's baptism from some one else in the family.

Chuckie, Kate & Anna at Carvel

On Thursday, Kate, Mary Clare and I took our first road trip together. Tim was flying into Love Field from Houston, so we stopped and met the precious Boatner family for ice cream in Keller along the way. If you have never been to Carvel you need to go. The soft serve ice cream is ok, but the sprinkles is what makes it so special! You can tell by Kate's shirt that she loved it!

Oh! If you haven't noticed - Kate's hair is finally long enough for pigtails! That is a major for us!

This picture was taken from my iPhone. Pretty good huh?

More Camera Problems

So I misplaced my camera a few months ago , but found it in no time. Now I have a problem! I can't find the battery charger! I really need to because the next two weeks are going to be very busy for me before I go back to work. Mary Clare and I are leaving for San Antonio tomorrow to watch my sister-in-law Mary graduate from Dental School (UTSA). We have Kate's "Moving On" Celebration at her school this week and Friday we are also headed back down south to Austin to visit with Amanda, John & Caroline. We are going to be in Keller Sunday morning for Lillian Claire's (our Goddaughter) baptism. Somewhere in between there we also want to go pick strawberries in Charlie, Texas, and visit the Fort Worth zoo. I will desperately need my camera for all of these events! Lucky for me my sweet husband surprised me with an iPhone for Mother's Day! Some of the pictures I have taken with my phone are better than pictures I have taken with my camera!

Cheesy Face

I asked Kate to give me a cheesy smile and she did! Literally.

Flying High at the Cajun Festival

Kate had her eye on this "jumper" the entire time we were at the Cajun Festival downtown this past weekend. Even though she is only two, the minimum weight to jump was 20 pounds. Since Kate was double that she was good to go! She had so much fun and even attempted to do a back flip twice!

Curly the Turtle

Kate and daddy came across a turtle on the way back from Windthorst last week. Kate was so proud of her new pet turtle! She even named him Curly. We had a talk with Kate that Curly needed to go back and find his mommy because she wanted to be with him as much as we want to be with her. After we talked to her, she understood that Curly's mommy missed him. The next day Kate and her daddy went to the Tanglewood lake to let him "go home". Now every time we drive over the lake she makes a comment about how Curly had to go home to be with his mommy.

Snug as a Bug

My cousin Carrie and her family in Nebraska sent this adorable hooded towel personalized just for Mary Clare. Thanks Clarke family!

Oopsies!

Some how the pic with Aunt Patty and Mary Clare got cut off of the last post.

Dinner at Grandma B's

There has been a standing tradition for a while now at Grandma B's to have dinner over there on Monday and Thursday nights. The food is always good, and it is a blessing to visit and be with your family! Both nights are special for Grandma because she loves the company. She also has so much fun holding the babies! Monday nights are usually more laid back with just sandwiches, chips, some kind of salad, and don't forget the dessert(s)! Thursday night dinners are just wonderful because all of the wonderful cooks in the family take turns cooking. Hmmm...I wonder why they haven't asked me to cook yet? :) Anyway, this past Monday was even more special because Aunt Patty from Austin was in town and was able to hold Mary Clare for the first time. I am pretty sure I have another picture pretty similar to this one with Aunt Patty holding Kate.

Kate & Kateri

Kate is so glad that Kateri lives right next door to us! She wants to go play with her all the time. There is only a few months difference in age between them so it will be fun watching them grow up playing together!

More neighborhood picnic pics

While Kate was enjoying cotton candy for the first time, Mary Clare was passed out in her stroller. I guess too much activities!

Neighborhood Picnic

Kate and Hayden enjoy playing during our neighborhood picnic. The pile of dirt was a hit!

Pretty in Polka Dots

Mary Clare enjoying her bouncer i her prety polka dot dress. Pretty girl!
